Salon Policies
Making an appointment:
You may make your appointment via phone or at our front desk with the receptionist. You can also make an appointment through this website. All clients are required to sign a salon waver.
Arrival Guidelines:
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment, to confirm your services, and make you as comfortable as possible for your experience. We will be providing you with refreshments . Glō Salon + Spa is an adult facility and our salon is appropriate for anyone aged 15 and older.
Lateness:
If you are going to be late, we ask that you give us a call as soon as possible, so we can make any necessary adjustments to your schedule.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that extraordinary circumstances may come up and you need to change your schedule. Kindly give us a 48 hour notice if you must cancel your appointment. If 24 hours notice is not given, you will be charged a 50% service fee. No-show appointments are subject to a charge of the full amount of your service.
Health Concerns:
Please inform us of any health issues prior to booking your appointment that may interfere with your service so we can better serve you as our client. Please inform us if you are pregnant, have any allergies to products or ingredients, or have any heart issues. For your first time with color, we would recommend a color patch test.
Personal Properties:
We are not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property and we ask that all valuables brought with you should be kept with you at all times.
Payments:
We accept cash, Visa, American Express or MasterCard Sales tax will be charged where applicable. All prices are subject to change without notice as our staff is constantly expanding their knowledge to better serve you.
Gratuity:
Tipping is optional and is completely at your discretion. It is your way to thank your stylist or technician. You may leave the tip in an envelope at the front desk, or hand it to your stylist personally.
Your Little Ones
We care about the safety and well being of your child as much as you do when they are in the salon. Therefore, we kindly ask that any child brought to Glō Salon & Spa must be accompanied by an adult not receiving a service. This helps ensure the safety of your child, so you don’t have to. We want all of our guests to be able to kick back and relax.
Refunds:
If you are not completely satisfied with our service or treatment during your visit, please advise our salon manager or front-desk immediately. We will gladly help resolve any issues. You may exchange products purchased at our salon within seven (7) days from the date of purchase or accept store credit.
LEVEL SYSTEM
The primary goals of our Glō Salon & Spa Level System is to provide a career path of growth and achievement for team members and to offer several options for our guests to meet their diverse needs when it comes to salon services. Guests may choose the stylist/level that compliments their requests from skill set to education, and budget.
Associate Level
This is a recent graduate currently undergoing our 6- to 12- month Associate Training Program. During this period, they are assisting a Glō Salon Educators to learn advanced skills, improve efficiency and learn our specific Glō Salon procedures, while servicing their own guests (models) a few hours per week. They are concentrating on hair services to include cut and advance color as well as hair extensions. Anyone that is part of the Glō Salon Team must undergo the same training process.
New Talent Level
A stylist who has completed their initial Glō Salon Training under our Creative Director and Education Team. After completing our ‘Associate Training Program’, these stylists graduate to the salon floor and are developing and perfecting their skill set. Prices for a New Talent services are less than any other level due to their short amount of time in the industry. A New Talent Stylist is NOT someone who is recently licensed cosmetologist, but rather someone who is new to our salon, offering beautiful and budget friendly services.
Designer Level
A stylist who is developing their artistry in all principle based design haircuts and color techniques, and who has completed at least one year at the New Talent Level. Once our service providers build a steady clientele and achieve industry benchmarks, they are a promoted to Designer Level Stylists. Senior Level and up are the `Mentors’ for our associate team and will often enroll their help to enhance the client experience while educating our future talent. This is an essential part of our program and we find that our guests enjoy the interaction and process.
Senior Level
A stylist who has been certified in all of Glō Salon’s Principle Based Training. These stylists have completed at least 250 hours of continuing education through in-salon training and attendance at approved continuing education classes.
Master Level
These are our advanced stylists and designers whom are certified as a specialist in all three principles: cut, color, and styling. They have worked closely with the Creative Director to move ahead with their career and are charged with mentoring and educating our New Talent stylists and assist with in-salon education.
Creative Director Level
This level is reserved for our most experienced and in high demand service providers in our salon. They are well-known for their work, have reached rigorous goals and met our education and skill requirements. These stylists artistically guide the entire team and take appointments by request only. These are the most sought-after hairstylists in the salon not only because of their very advanced education level but also because of their well-known reputation in the community.
Rebooking:
Your stylist will give you a personal recommendation on when to schedule your next service, and the front desk will assist you to find the perfect appointment date and time.
Products:
We invite you to come in anytime for an in depth consultation to assist you with the purchase of any haircare or skincare product, we will be happy to work with you to find the products that best fit your needs
